100% pure handloom, orange and white chanderi silk saree with designer dhakai block print and intricate detailing.
Having originated in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, these sarees are part of the most ancient weaving of Bengal. They were patronized by the Mughal Imperials and woven using a mixture of cotton grown exclusively in South Rupshi of Narayanganj, Bangladesh. Fine variants of these intertwist by experts in different parts of West Bengal bring on the same regal look. Block printing is the process of printing patterns using engraved wooden blocks. It is the earliest, simplest, and slowest of all methods of textile printing. It is, however, capable of yielding highly artistic results, some of which are unobtainable by any other method.
